REV E NANT
A person who has returned, especially supposedly from the dead.
The Revenant Journey
The Revenant Journey was created by a large community of warriors (veterans and first responders) as a place for others to come and begin to heal from their traumatic injuries while learning new skills to bring back to their life and their families for long term healing success. This free 5-day program gives warriors the opportunity to come together to discover what burdens them, allow them to safely face those burdens, and give them the tools to begin working at overcoming them. This holistic approach using evidence-based methods tends to the whole warrior; mind, body and soul.
Warrior cultures through the centuries have used meditation and mindfulness practices to prepare and heal from the traumas of warfare. Warriors are introduced throughout the week with proven techniques that can help repair the brain with continued practice.
During the week warriors will learn and practice healthy nutrition, yoga and basic fitness techniques that will empower them with the energy to continue their journey of healing once they return home.
Warriors embark on their own personal Hero's Journey of discovery. Through cathartic sharing, finding one's community, ancient myths, and ceremonies based on ancient warrior cultures, our warriors can begin healing the traumatic injuries that are being held within.

A Lifelong Community of Support
No one can be healed in five days. That is why The Battle Within is committed to developing community building opportunities to provide our alumni with the support they need to stay on the path of healing. The Battle Within also encourages alumni to carry on with their healing journey through continuing education programs to further develop the skills learned into true life-long habits.
Family Support - PTSD effects so many more than just the warrior. TBW provides services to help the family understand, support and heal alongside their warriors.
Continuing Education Classes - Graduates of the Revenant Journey are able to participate in free continuing education classes to fully develop the tools they have learned into real meaningful lifestyle changes.
Community Building Events - Being around those with the same mission to heal helps keep you on your path to healing. From alumni dinners to alumni led art classes, there are many opportunities to stay in touch with your fellow alumni.
A Commitment to Service - Alumni are given opportunities to continue to serve both their fellow warriors and their local community.

THE TALE OF TWO WOLVES
An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life: “A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy. “It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves.
One is evil — he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.
He continued, “The same fight is going on inside you – and inside every other person, too.” The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?”
The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”
